HELP!

Hey PV Readers! We need your help. As you know, money is pretty tight everywhere these days, but especially in schools!! The Springfield school district would like to purchase some new sets of books for Literature Circles. The teachers have been asked to give suggestions of books that kids love and that would be good for Lit. Circle discussions. Tell us about some books that we need to let the "people in charge" know about for this purchase! Help to make sure we get some awesome books for you and your friends to share!

March 1, 2010

Hey, those of you who have both read the book and seen the movie versions of a piece of literature (such as The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan!), let's get some comparison/contrast of them going here - things that are the same and different - about the two versions. Also, let us know what you liked/disliked about what you read and saw.

week of February 22

It's great to see more than 400 comments on this blog, in just a few weeks.

Remember, please put your name at the top of your comment so we know who is writing, and please tell the title and author of the book you are reading.

To make your title appear in italics, you must use tags.

To find a comment to you or about your book, use control + f to find any word or phrase on the webpage.

Keep up the great work.

hello

pvreaders is a social place for students to share about what they're reading. Occasionally teachers will post prompts for students to respond to, but mostly we’ll just post blank dates. Students can then comment to those dates about what they’re reading on that date, and then read about what others are reading. So basically, it’s a place to have conversations about books.

You don’t have to be a member of the blog to post, but you do have to sign all of your work. Any unsigned work will be deleted.

We encourage you to have a look around at what people are saying about books. If you’re reading something cool, let us know. If you have a question about something, ask it. We don’t guarantee an answer, but you’ll probably be surprised. If you agree with someone, let them know. If you disagree with someone, let them know but be polite about it.

Most of all, we hope that the joy or anger or humor you experience while reading a book can be shared with others, and conversations can begin here that will build our community of pvreaders.
